A musical-comedy adventure and one of Lampost's most theatrical productions.

Six characters unexpectedly meet on a playground and discover they have one thing in common: an abandoned superhero cape that has led each of them on a unique adventure. Now they each need the cape to finish what they started. As they vie for the cape, their stories unfold, colliding in an intriguing collage of life, love, and our inability to save the day.

Meet the Characters...

The Geek

“Give me a gadget with a digital interface;
menus and macros and I’m on a roll…
But give me a person — like a stellar black hole:
there’s nothing there I can control”

The Blogger

“She’s the internet superstar;
She’s a login’ bloggin’ bandwidth-hoggin’ chick!
Her site gets more hits than an old stock car
A top-of-the-list Google pick!”

The Dreamer

“We got so caught up in the fact that
we
could do it, that we never
stopped to consider
whether or not we
should do it.”

The Do-er

“When God created the world He had no comittee
No planning or zoning or permits to file with the city…
No political haze obscured His gaze—
how else do you think he did it
in just seven days?!

The Teacher

“I’d love to inspire them
to the heights that they could go;
But I can’t even get them
to stand in a straight row.”

The Coach

“Sometimes being a hero
comes at the cost of
someone else…”

The Cop

“Some of us gotta be heroes
without the cape.”

Audience Response:

  • “Spectacular!”

  • “Such an amazing show, I’m coming back to see it again.”

  • “Don’t miss the opportunity to see this provocative and probing production.”

  • “…a brilliant multi-layer presentation filled with poignant insights into the human condition…”

  • “Excellent performances and a story line fabulous as always.”

The Mayor

“But do you have a suitable substantial sustainable parcel proposal?”
